Our Congregation
Different Backgrounds . . . Same Powerful God!
The people who make up The Word of God Community Church come from a variety of backgrounds and occupy diverse professions and vocations. Yet we have formed a community where we worship, minister, grow, fellowship, and care for each other.

Our congregation is made up of men, women, and children who are bound by a common thread: the person of Jesus Christ and His work on the cross of Calvary.

Ministries

We have opportunities for every member, regardless of age, to utilize your talents and spiritual gifts!

All can find encouragement, Biblical exhortation, and Christian fellowship within our church body as we serve and minister, one to another.

1 Corinthians 14:12
So also you, since you are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek to abound for the edification of the church.

How do I become a member of Word of God Community Church?

We are glad for those who want to become a part of The Word of God Community Church. However, becoming a member of a local church is an important step of commitment. Therefore, we at Word of God Community encourage the following as you consider becoming a member of our church:

  • Attend a minimum of four Sunday morning worship services.
  • Sincerely seek the Lord in prayer as to whether The Word of God Community Church is where God would have you serve in His Kingdom through your time, your talents, your spiritual gift(s), and your financial resources.
  • Carefully read through our statements of beliefs. If you have any questions regarding the contents of these statements, contact Pastor Kinlow or Pastor Smith.
  • Respond during the altar call by simply raising your hand when the doors of our church are opened for membership.

If you feel uncomfortable raising your hand during the altar call, you can also become a member by speaking to Pastor Kinlow, Pastor Smith, or Elder Greg Williams.
